The number of women who died at the hands of their significant other is on the rise. The Texas Council on Family Violence says 119 Texas women died as a result of domestic violence in 2013. Ten million people every year are the victims of physical domestic violence. That's almost twenty people each minute. “We know that about 20 to 25 percent of women will experience some form of physical violence in their lifetime and when you factor in things like psychological abuse and sexual assault that number increases even more,” said UTMB psychologist Jeff Temple.
