Continuing coverage on this op-ed by UTMB’s Jeff Temple: We would do well by replicating the corrective actions of the NFL by apologizing to victims of domestic violence for our lack of adequate attention to this matter and for putting the onus on them. Rather than asking "Why doesn't she just leave," we should be asking, "What can I do to help?" Then, let's work to increase funding for domestic violence shelters and prevention programs aimed at eradicating violence against women.
