The Angleton Danbury Medical Center honored its merger with UTMB by officially unveiling a new name. However, its leadership said the hospital’s commitment to the community and to enhancing quality of life will never change. “We promise to do everything we can to earn your trust and look forward to working with you in the following days, weeks and years to come,” said Dr. David Callender. Representatives revealed the “UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus” logo in Angleton on Tuesday as hospital staff, residents and local leaders crowded shoulder to shoulder in the lobby. While addressing the crowd, Melba Beken, chairwoman of the Angleton Danbury Medical Center’s board of trustees, said the two organizations’ emphasis on patient care and community service is “right in sync.” [Note: Paid subscription required.
