For patients, nothing will look different this week at Angleton Danbury Medical Center. For employees, a lot of things won’t look the same. The hospital is finishing the final steps of a merger, which becomes official Aug. 16, between the hospital and UTMB. The organizations are working together to train staff on new software, prepare patients for the switch and inform the community of the benefits that will come from being part of the UTMB system. Donna Sollenberger said she is proud of the work by both organizations to ensure the transition is smooth. “Patients can rest assured that their health care is our utmost priority, and we will do our very best to provide the level of service they expect and deserve,” she said.
