The Moody Medical Library’s Truman G. Blocker Jr. History of Medicine Collections at the at UTMB houses the most significant collection of Louis Pasteur’s papers and artifacts outside of the Pasteur Institute in Paris. A team digitized 22 unique items and translated 12 handwritten letters into English, which are available on the Blocker Collections website, along with a bibliography of secondary resources and information about other physical items in the collection. The team won the 2014 Trailblazer Award. “In Pasteur’s Own Hand: The Creation of a Digital Depository” is on display at the Moody Medical Library.
