News in this week’s Inside UTMB: UTMB is offering $25 physicals this Saturday; the 2013 Dr. and Mrs. Seymour Fisher Academic Excellence Awards in Neuroscience were presented to medical students Mathieu Bakhoum and Dan W. Branch and graduate student Jordan Jahrling; Xiaodong Cheng and Jia Zhou have been awarded a three-year, $1.5 million grant; Satish Srivastava was awarded a five-year, $1.4 million grant; and a team of researchers led by Suresh Bhavnani received a Distinguished Paper Award for Translational Bioinformatics at a meeting organized by the American Medical Bioinformatics Association.
