On track: High school student chooses medical program

A new competency-based accelerated pre-med/medical academic track for the bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences will begin this fall at the University of Brownsville. The Associated Professional, Relevant, Integrated Medical Education Track, or A-PRIME, will allow students to take their first three years of classes at UTB and the last three years of their education at UTMB or the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
