The Galveston Independent School District’s Back to School Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Galveston Island Convention Center. The fair will be a one-stop shop for parents wanting to get their children ready for the first day of school. The event will feature more than 70 vendors, including UTMB pediatrics providing free vaccinations.
