Women with limited financial and transportation resources may have difficulty getting to scheduled mammography screening appointments, so UTMB and The Ruth Kempner Endowment for Breast Cancer Screening have joined forces to take UTMB’s mobile mammography van to a place where many women already gather: church. Free screening mammograms will be available for uninsured Galveston County residents at three different dates and locations during October and November.
