The Texas Medical Center announced Monday that UTMB’s Kenneth Smith is one of four recipients of the inaugural Grant Program in Collaborative Health Policy Research. Funded initiatives include collaborations between two or more TMC member institutions. Smith will work with the University of Houston, Texas Children’s and Baylor on studying ways to reduce health risks and increase care access for child refugees, primarily from Central America between 13 and 18 years of age.
