A patient whose symptoms had prompted the closing of a League City medical facility Friday is not infected with the Ebola virus, officials said. UTMB health care workers "determined that the patient did not exhibit any signs of Ebola virus disease and had not traveled to any of the African countries that have had the Ebola epidemic," UTMB said in a statement. It’s been concluded there is no risk to Galveston County communities associated with this patient. This news also appeared in Galveston County Daily News and Memorial Examiner, and on local Houston TV news stations, including KPRC-TV and KTRK-TV.
